    Description

    Using nickel salt solution for electroplating or chemical plating, nickel has good ductility and plasticity, and can form a uniform and dense nickel coating on metal or some non-metal surfaces. Nickel has good corrosion resistance, especially able to resist the erosion of many strong acids, alkalis, and saltwater.     The advantages of nickel plated CBN (cubic boron nitride) mainly include the following aspects:

    • Improve grinding removal rate
      Nickel plating can increase the grinding removal rate of CBN grinding wheels, which means that nickel plated CBN grinding wheels can remove more materials in the same processing time, thereby improving production efficiency.
    • Enhanced mechanical grip
      Nickel plating can improve the mechanical grip of diamond and CBN, reduce thermal shock, and extend the service life of the product.

      Nickel plating can reduce thermal shock during the machining process, improve machining accuracy, and make the dimensions of the product more precise.

    • Improving the sharpness and self sharpening of grinding wheels
      By using different proportions of bare cBN abrasive and nickel plated cBN-N60 abrasive in resin bonded CBN grinding wheels, grinding wheels with good sharpness and self sharpening can be prepared.
    • Reduce initial cost
      The initial cost of electroplated CBN grinding wheels is relatively low, especially in rough machining where geometric tolerances are not very strict. Some previous processes can be omitted and the grinding wheel can be used directly to reduce costs.
    • Simplified machine tool design
      Electroplated CBN grinding wheels do not require trimmers, balancers, or drivers with different wheel speeds, simplifying the design and maintenance of machine tools.

    BRD Nickel coating diamond powder series.

    With Besco exclusive technology we do chemical nickel coating of different levels based on BRD series. Standard levels of nickel coating by weight are 30%, 56%. The coating provides excellent heat dissipation and increased particle retention in the bond system, thus improving wheel life and workpiece integrity.
